Get involved, you can make a difference!
The strength of the Atlantic Canada Chapter is determined by the involvement
of our members, volunteers, and supporters. There are many ways that
you can contribute to our work, whether by offering financial assistance
or your valuable time. Check often to see postings for upcoming events,
job opportunities, or volunteer positions.
With your help, we can make
a difference in ensuring that our environment can be enjoyed by future
generations.
If you are interested in getting involved but are not located near
Halifax, please contact your local group and keep checking to see when events will be taking place
in an area near you!

My name is Emily Rideout and I work with the Sierra
Club Atlantic Chapter as the Cool Cities Coordinator. I was recently
honoured by a request from our national office to represent the Sierra
Club Canada at the United Nations Conference on Climate Change in Poznan
Poland from December 1-12 2008! As the SCC representative, I will be
responsible for communicating with the national office about daily
events as they happen as well as communicating with the Canadian media.
I will also be keeping a blog . I'm very excited about this opportunity!
If you are interested in sponsoring my adventure, please contact our
regional Director Gretchen Fitzgerald at gretchenf@sierraclub.ca or
